THIS WEEK'S TASTY RECIPE (SEPTEMBER 14, 2008) |

Bacon Wrap Jungle Burger
Ingredients
1 1/4 lb Ground Beef
1/4 Ground Pork
2 Tbs. Port wine
1 Tbs. Garlic powder
1 Tsp. Salt
1 Tsp. Pepper
1 Tsp. Chopped parsley
4 to 8 strips of bacon
(4) Freshly made hamburger buns
Mix together in a large bowl: beef, pork, wine, garlic, salt, pepper and chopped parsley. Divide into 4 portions and form each into a burger about 3/4 inches thick. Wrap each burger with one or two strips of bacon, closing the ends under the burger. Grill over a hot fire turning once until done. Serve with your favorite condiments. |

In recent years, Nick has been dedicated to teaching others the art of classical cooking. He has been a featured writer for several magazines and newspapers. In 1998, he launched "Denova" - a company that created a popular local cable television program called The Midnight Gourmet.
