Official blackout; Free viewing on NFL.com; Fanene shelved for year; Chad rests; Palmer full go

Updated: 4:15 p.m.

The Bengals officially ruled Sunday's 1 p.m. Bengals-Bills game at Paul Brown Stadium blacked out of the club's television market, breaking the franchise-record streak of 57 straight sellouts stretching back seven years and two playoff games.

"We want to thank our fans for backing the Bengals during a record, seven-year streak of sellouts that has covered many memorable games and two division titles," the team said in a statement. "The Bengals fan base has been a strong one for all 43 of our seasons, and we deeply appreciate their support and the great homefield advantage they give us. We are sorry the streak won't continue this week, but we have great fans who make every home game exciting, and we look forward to another enthusiastic crowd for our game against the Bills this Sunday."

Only in the Bengals home market of Cincinnati, Dayton, Ohio, and Lexington, Ky., is there a 72-hour period for free viewing for fans to watch a replay of the Buffalo game on NFL.com. Those fans can use an "NFL Game Rewind" tab or banner on the home page of NFL.com.

The window for free viewing begins midnight Sunday-Monday and runs through midnight Wednesday-Thursday. The only time during that period in which the replay will not be available will be during the Nov. 22 ESPN Monday Night Football telecast.

FANENE SHELVED: After being able to play only about one full game with an injured hamstring this season, defensive end Jon Fanene went on season-ending injured reserve and the Bengals replaced him with former Rams defensive end Victor Adeyanju.

Fanene, who came off the bench last year for a career-high six sacks in place of the injured Antwan Odom, got hurt late in the first half of the opener and didn't play again until the sixth game. But he reaggravated the hamstring in Atlanta and didn't appear again.

The Bengals have gone most of the season without their two top sackers from last year. Odom, who had eight sackls before ripping his Achilles last year, is coming off a four-game suspension for testing positive for banned substances. But he's also got a broken wrist and can't play for a few more weeks. Odom and Fanene don't have a sack in a season the Bengals are next-to-last in sacks per pass in the NFL.

The 6-4, 284-pound Adeyanju played the last four seasons for the Rams, playing 53 games with 26 starts from 2006-09. He has 178 career tackles with three sacks. He has four fumble recoveries and one touchdown, an 89-yard fumble return. He was with the Rams in the 2010 preseason and was released Sept. 4. He was a fourth-round draft choice of the Rams out of Indiana in 2006.

OCHO SITS: Wide receiver Chad Ochocinco (shoulder) didn't practice Thursday after being limited Wednesday. But running back Clint Boling (foot), cornerback Johnathan Joseph (neck), SAM linebacker Vincent Rey (thigh) and safety Chinedum Ndukwe (thigh) were on the field Thursday after being out Wednesday. They were all limited. Only defensive lineman Frostee Rucker (knee) didn't return. Also limited were safety Chris Crocker (thigh) and cornerback Brandon Ghee (groin).

Quarterback Michael Johnson (throwing shoulder), limited on Wednesday, was out there Thursday and went full go.
