There is no question about the impact eleven-time Pro Bowler and Pro Football Hall of Famer Anthony Muñoz had on the field. But it's the impact Muñoz has on the community that continues to make a difference.
Anthony and his wife DeDe were honored Tuesday night with the National Human Relations Award presented by AJC Cincinnati, a Jewish advocacy organization.
The National Human Relations Award is presented annually to leaders and corporations in the community who, with their skills, influence, and dedication, distinguish themselves through their professional achievements and their commitment to good works.
The Muñoz family makes a difference in the lives of local youth in 22 counties and 190 high schools in the Greater Cincinnati area through the Anthony Muñoz Foundation, established in 2002.
Along its journey, the Anthony Muñoz Foundation has touched the lives of over 30,000 youth. The Anthony Muñoz Foundation educates, promotes, recognizes and rewards Tri-State youth who excel in all phases of life, while reaching out and empowering those who are struggling. No matter what adversity youth may face, the Anthony Muñoz Foundation programs teach young people that they can overcome their respective obstacles while maintaining a focus on higher education.
