Quick Hits: B.J. Hill's Word Is Good; Erick All Jr. Hopes To Make Bengals Practice Debut

B.J. Hill is a man of his word.

The Bengals defensive tackle made good on his dare with quarterback Joe Burrow and showed up for Sunday's "Back Together Weekend," practice with a bleached blond razor cut.

"He knows I look better than him," Hill said before practice. "I like it. I might keep it the whole season."

Hill says during spring practice he dared Burrow to buzz and bleach his hair and, never dreaming he'd do it, told Burrow he'd do it if he did it.

Then last week came.

"No way," Hill thought.

But in the end, Hill thinks he came out ahead.

"My wife (Cassady) has no problems with it," he said, "and that's all that matters." …

Fourth-round pick Erick All Jr., the Fairfield High School tight end from suburban Cincinnati, got the all-clear to practice Sunday for the first time as a Bengal. It's been a long haul from the Oct. 23 game for Iowa when he tore his ACL.

"I told some of my teammates, I feel like I just got released from prison," All said. "Finally free."

All's not sure what he'll be asked to do Sunday, but whatever it is he'll be doing it in front of his parents, sister and nephews …

New cornerback Nate Brooks, who played the last of his four NFL games in 2020, has been involved in transactions with nine different teams. Even though he's been here for just Friday's practice and Saturday's off, he can tell a few things.

"Great coaching staff, great culture," Brooks said. "I've enjoyed the two or three days I've been here. You can just tell from the vibe of things if guys are gelling. And guys are gelling. Everyone has welcomed me in here." ….
