The Bengals today activated WR John Ross III to the 53-player roster from the Reserve/Injured list and waived WR Damion Willis.
Ross, a third-year player, spent the last eight games on the Reserve/Injured list due to a sternoclavicular injury suffered in Game 4 at Pittsburgh. He played in the Bengals' first four games this season, and had 16 catches for 328 yards and three TDs.
Willis, a rookie, originally was a college free agent signee of the Bengals in May. He had played in 10 games (two starts) this season, and totaled nine catches for 82 yards.
The Bengals designated Ross to return from Reserve/Injured on Nov. 13, at which time he returned to practice but did not count against the team's roster limit. He is the second of two possible players the team may return to the active roster from R/I this season. The other was CB Darius Phillips, who was activated to the roster on Nov. 29.
