The Bengals will use walk-through metal detectors at select gates beginning with Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.
The detectors, called magnetometers, have been installed at Gate A, Gate F and the West Club entrance. Hand-held metal detectors will continue to be used at the remaining entrances to the Stadium plaza.
Fans will be asked to place keys, phones, wallets and cameras in a bin before walking through the magnetometer. Fans do not need to remove shoes or belts.
The use of walk-through magnetometers is an NFL best practice that will be phased in over a two-year period. The magnetometers are a more efficient way to increase the safety and security of fans.
