Bengals safety Jessie Bates III earned a Second Team, NFL All-Pro selection after a breakout season in 2020. This is Bates' first NFL All-Pro selection.
Bates finished the 2020 season playing in all 16 games with 109 tackles, three interceptions, 15 passes defended, two tackles for loss and one forced fumble.
The second round pick out of Wake Forest in the 2018 NFL Draft set career highs in solo tackles, passes defended and tackles for loss this season. Bates has not missed a game in his first three seasons with the Bengals.
Earlier in the week, Pro Football Focus listed Bates as the highest graded safety in 2020 at 90.1.
