The Bengals today re-signed TE Cethan Carter to a one-year contract.
Carter, a fourth-year player in 2020, originally was a Bengals college free agent signee in 2017. He has played in 31 career games, and last season he caught two passes for 13 yards and one touchdown. Though he spent the entire 2018 season on the Reserve/Injured list, Carter has been a regular contributor on special teams otherwise, totaling 16 career ST tackles. His nine ST tackles in 2017 ranked third on the team, and his seven ST tackles last season tied for the team lead.
Carter signed the restricted free agent tender the Bengals extended to him on March 16.
