Bengals set camp schedule
The Bengals will take the field for the first time at 2001 training camp at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 21. Players and coaches will work in a no-contact skills session lasting approximately an hour, and the team will be back in action for a full practice from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. that same day.
Camp host Georgetown (Ky.) College will open the complex to fans at 10 a.m. on the 21st, and camp will close to fans following the afternoon practice.
The above schedule depicts a "Regular Day" at training camp. There will be at least 15 such days during the camp's five-week run.
The team's annual Intrasquad Scrimmage is set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 28. Additionally, camp will be open for night practice sessions on Aug. 2, 8 and 23. Camp will be closed on a number of dates during the five-week period, and fans are urged to CHECK THE COMPLETE SCHEDULE LISTING before making plans to attend.
Training camp gate admission is free. There is a $5 parking fee on all days except Intrasquad Scrimmage day, when the charge is $10.
Special "Fanfest" activities, including NFL inflatable interactive displays, will be open every day from July 21-28. On Thurs., Aug. 2, a fireworks display will follow the night practice......
Bengals players and coaches will report to Georgetown on the evening of Friday, July 20, but no on-field activity is scheduled and the complex will be closed to the public.
To reach Georgetown College from downtown Cincinnati, take I-75 South approximately 70 miles to Exit 126 (Georgetown). Turn right off the ramp onto U.S. 460 West. Go through four traffic lights and turn right at the fifth traffic light onto Lemons Mill Road (Ky. Route 1962). Go about one-half mile and look for the large Bengals sign and complex driveway on the right.
