Here are five figures to know from the Bengals first preseason game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Paycor Stadium.

82

Rookie wide receiver Jermaine Burton tallied 82 receiving yards in his first career preseason game, the second-most of any pass catcher in the NFL this past week. The third-round pick managed to get behind the Tampa Bay secondary with a stop-and-go route, and quarterback Logan Woodside found him down the sideline for a 37-yard score. Burton also hauled in a long reception late in the game to give Cincinnati a chance to win. Per Pro Football Focus, the Alabama and Georgia product joined Chicago Bears tight end Tommy Sweeney as the only two pass catchers to have a perfect passer rating when targeted and see more than one target. It was an impressive debut for the rookie, who looks to stand out in a deep Cincinnati receiving corps.

The Bengals offensive line allowed zero sacks in Saturday's battle with the Bucs. 2024 first-round pick Amarius Mims also allowed zero quarterback pressures in the two drives he played, which featured the opening drive with starting quarterback Joe Burrow. As a whole, Cincinnati's offensive line posted a 93.7 pass-block efficiency per PFF, good for third in the league this past weekend.

7

The most important number in football, the Bengals starting offense put up seven points in its only drive of the night. Burrow looked very comfortable, completing five-of-seven passes for 51 yards and a touchdown. He hit Tee Higgins twice for 19 yards, including a 10-yard score. The LSU product also found sophomore receiver Andrei Iosvias on a 23-yard catch-and-run for the biggest play of the drive. Cincinnati's first unit is currently batting 1.000 in the preseason, albeit in a small sample size.

91.4

Many Bengals fans probably didn't know the name Maema Njongmeta before Saturday night, but the undrafted free agent linebacker made a name for himself against Tampa Bay. The former Wisconsin Badger posted a 91.4 PFF defensive grade, a top-10 figure this week among all defenders with at least 10 snaps. The rookie totaled 10 tackles — the third-most among all players and tied for most among rookies — a quarterback hurry and a batted pass.

63,323

Who Dey Nation showed up and showed out for their squad Saturday, with the announced attendance figure totaling 63,323. The crowd was rocking, and the players took notice.

"Cincinnati fans remind me of Georgia (Bulldog) fans," Mims said. "I did not expect there to be that many people out there for a preseason game, but hey, I see they pack it out."

Cincinnati fans will have to wait another week-and-a-half or so until they can return to Paycor, as the Bengals go on the road to play the Chicago Bears Saturday before coming home to host the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night Football.
