Thousands of fans packed downtown Cincinnati Sunday night for the city's annual Riverfest. The full day of food and fun was topped off by the WEBN Fireworks Show at Sawyer Point and Yeatman's Cove.
"This is the greatest firework event in the entire United States," a Riverfest attendee told FOX19. "There's nothing that beats Riverfest here."
The 90s-themed show used a combination of fireworks and drones to dazzle the audience, both in person and streaming from home. The drone show led things off: Fans roared when the first Bengals B projected onto the night sky. As the Bengals Fight Song rang in the background, the drones displayed different Bengals icons, including silhouettes of Trey Hendrickson, Tee Higgins, Ja’Marr Chase and Joe Burrow as well as the iconic Who Dey slogan.
The drone show also featured the Bengals' #OpenInOrange tagline, the team's new season opener tradition that will kick off this Sunday against the New England Patriots.
There are more events planned in the runup to kickoff, including an Open In Orange Happy Hour on Thursday, September 5, at Troll Pub in Dayton. A special 2024 season shirt is being sold exclusively at the Bengals Pro Shop as well, with proceeds supporting the Freestore Foodbank of Greater Cincinnati.
