The Bengals seek their first win of the young season when they host the Washington Commanders at Paycor Stadium on Monday Night Football. The game kicks off at 8:15 p.m. ET on ABC. Here is what to watch for:

Dillon, Krumrie Join Ring of Honor

A pair of Bengals all-time greats in former halfback Corey Dillon and nose tackle Tim Krumrie will be formally inducted into the team’s Ring of Honor during a halftime ceremony on Monday night. They will become the ninth and 10th members of the Ring of Honor, which was established in 2021 to recognize former players, coaches and individuals who have played a significant role in the franchise's storied history and tradition.

Dillon, who played for Cincinnati from 1997-2003, remains the team's career record holder for rushing attempts (1,865), rushing yards (8,061) and 100-yard rushing games (28). He earned three straight Pro Bowl selections from 1999-2001 and owns the top three single-game rushing performances in Bengals history.

Krumrie spent his entire 12-year playing career (1983-94) with Cincinnati, and his 188 career regular-season games played are the most ever by a Bengals lineman on either side of the ball. Known for his tough and physical playing style, he was a two-time Pro Bowler in 1987 and '88. In the latter season, he garnered first-team All-Pro honors while helping lead the Bengals to an appearance in Super Bowl XXIII.

Heisman Tigers

Former Louisiana State, Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks Joe Burrow and Jayden Daniels are set to face one another for the first time in their pro careers on Monday night. Burrow took home Heisman honors in 2019, four months before the Bengals tabbed him as their franchise signal caller with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 draft, while Daniels earned the award in 2023 on the way to being taken No. 2 overall by Washington this past April.

Burrow and Daniels are the only two quarterbacks in LSU history to win the Heisman. They also are in line to become just the second quarterback duo in history to start an NFL game against each other after winning the Heisman at the same school. They will join former Oklahoma quarterbacks Baker Mayfield (2017 Heisman recipient) and Kyler Murray (2018), who have faced off three times at the pro level.

Burrow put together arguably the greatest single season by a quarterback in college football history in 2019, setting numerous FBS and SEC records while leading the Tigers to a perfect 15-0 record and a national title. He won the Heisman by the largest voting margin in its then-85-year history. In 2023, Daniels set the NCAA single-season record for passer rating (208.0) and ranked in the top five nationally in passing yards and touchdowns. He also rushed for 1,134 yards, the most by any college quarterback last season.

Burrow vs. NFC

Burrow has won his last eight starts against NFC opponents dating back to Week 2 of the 2022 season at Dallas. He is tied with Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson for the longest active winning streak versus NFC foes.

Since that Dallas loss in 2022, Burrow is 225-for-308 (73.1 percent) for 2,231 yards and 19 touchdowns with four interceptions when facing the NFC, good for a passer rating of 108.3. The Bengals scored 30-plus points in six of those eight contests, and three of those performances resulted in Burrow being named AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

Burrow One Away From Century Touchdown

Burrow enters Week 3 with 99 career touchdown passes in 54 regular-season games. With just one passing score on Monday night, he will tie for the seventh-fastest quarterback in NFL history to reach 100 for his career. Burrow is coming off a two-touchdown performance in Week 2 at Kansas City, his 34th career game with multiple TD throws.

McPherson Two Away From Century Kick

Evan McPherson heads into Monday night with 98 career regular-season field goal attempts. Should he convert his first two tries against the Commanders, he would have 85 total makes, the third-most through a kicker's first 100 attempts in Bengals history. Only Shayne Graham and Randy Bullock (87 each) have more.

Money Mac is five-for-five on field goals so far this season, including makes of 51 yards in Week 1 against New England and 53 in Week 2 at Kansas City. It marked the fifth time in his career that he nailed a 50-plus-yarder in consecutive regular-season games — he's never done it in three straight contests.

Pass Defense

The Bengals' 257 net passing yards allowed so far are their fewest through the first two games of a season since 2017 (209). Cincinnati enters Week 3 tied for second in the NFL in net passing yards allowed per game at 128.5 and just intercepted Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs twice last Sunday.

The Commanders are averaging 185.5 net passing yards through two weeks and have yet to score a passing touchdown. Washington, however, has yet to turn the ball over, and quarterback Jayden Daniels is completing 75.5 percent of his passes with a 97.7 rating.

Bengals Shine Under Paycor Lights

Cincinnati has won each of its last six primetime games played at home dating back to a 2020 Week 15 victory over Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football. Highlights of the win streak include three Ring of Honor nights, two White Bengal games, Stripe the Jungle and Sam Hubbard’s "Fumble in the Jungle." The two highest attendance figures in team history occurred during the current streak — an announced crowd of 67,260 in a 2022 Week 4 win over Miami on Thursday Night Football, and a figure of 66,965 in Week 9 of last season versus Buffalo on Sunday Night Football.

"You can feel the energy from the crowd collectively," said head coach Zac Taylor. "That's been very consistent whether it's a day game or a night game. Night games I think are just a little more special. There's a lot of good memories here over the last several years of playing well in those night games. I think everybody that enters the stadium, all of our players that walk out of the tunnel, they feel that. There's that recall there that, 'Man, we play good in this atmosphere.'"
