Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton likes October for a number of reasons.
On his 28th birthday Thursday, Dalton was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Month in October for the second time in three years. After leading the Bengals to a 3-0 month, he finished October as the NFL's leading passer racking up six touchdown passes and one interception in leading them to wins over the Chiefs, Seahawks, and Bills.
The signature win came against two-time NFC champ Seattle in a fourth quarter and overtime comeback victory canvassing 20 unanswered points.
In 2013 he was also named AFC Offensive Player of the Month with a run of four straight wins to start October with a passer rating that averaged 116.8 on 11 TDs and three interceptions. The award was given before the Oct. 31 overtime loss in Miami.
