Because of concern about hurricane-related weather, the Bengals are moving up their trip to Baltimore to Friday evening to make sure they don't get delayed or diverted on Saturday afternoon in preparation for Sunday's 1 p.m. game.
"It doesn't affect us much," head coach Marvin Lewis said in Wednesday's news conference. " We'll just do our normal Saturday routine somewhere in Baltimore if necessary."
They had a normal routine Thursday at Paul Brown Stadium's grass fields with a scheduled practice from 11:45 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. Wide receiver Andre Caldwell (toe) iced since the Aug. 17 preseason game, was seen in shoulder pads before practice but he wasn't on the field later.
Safety Chinedum Ndukwe (knee) and defensive tackle Pat Sims (toe), ruled out for Sunday, weren't dressed. Neither was defensive lineman Jon Fanene (illness) who also missed Wednesday's practice. Linebacker Brandon Johnson, limited Wednesday with a hamstring, was on the field at the start.
Practice squad linebacker Dan Howell, injured early in training camp in the leg area, returned Thursday.
