Ja'Marr Chase Voted as FedEx Air & Ground Player of Week 2

Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase was named FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Week for his performance in Week 2, the NFL announced today. The weekly honor is voted on by fans, selecting the top two offensive performances of the previous week out of the six nominees.

Chase joined Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown as the winners of the award this week. The wideouts received more votes than Lions QB Jared Goff, Colts RB Jonathan Taylor, Bills RB James Cook and Giants QB Russell Wilson. Bills QB Josh Allen and Ravens RB Derrick Henry took home the honors in Week 1.

Chase had 14 receptions for 165 yards and a touchdown in Cincinnati's 31-27 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars. He cleared 400 career receptions in the first half, tying Julio Jones and Jarvis Landry as the fifth-fastest player in NFL history to hit the mark (64 games).

The win was also Chase's eighth career game with over 150 receiving yards and at least one touchdown, tied for the most in the NFL since he entered the league. He also tied Jerry Rice for the most such games in a player's first five seasons in the Super Bowl era.

This is the second year of the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Awards' new format, which allows wide receivers and tight ends to be eligible for the award each week and at the end of the season. It is Chase's first time receiving the honor this season, after winning it twice in 2024 (Weeks 5 and 10) and winning 2024 FedEx Air and Ground Player of the Year, along with Bills QB Josh Allen.

This year, FedEx will make $2,000 donations each week in the name of the winning players ($4,000 total) to Feeding America to help combat food insecurity across the country. Since the start of the FedEx Air & Ground program, FedEx has donated nearly $3 million to different nonprofit organizations.
