PHOENIX, Ariz. - Bengals president Mike Brown won't attend Sunday night's game against the Cardinals for precautionary reasons after what the club called "a minor medical situation," Sunday morning.
In a statement released about five hours before the game, the Bengals said Brown is getting treated and plans to return to Cincinnati "shortly."
Brown, 79, has seen virtually every Bengals game since he helped begin the franchise in 1967. It's believed the only one he missed was another preseason game on Aug. 2, 1991 in Detroit to be with his ill father.
Bengals vice president Katie Blackburn, Brown's daughter, planned to attend the game.
