Report: Bengals open season on Monday night at Ravens

!

According to a Baltimore radio station, the Bengals are in Baltimore to open the season in a Monday night game, which would be the prime-time debuts of Cincinnati's Pro Bowl rookies Andy Dalton and A.J. Green.

The Bengals won't confirm any reports until the teams are supposed to release their schedules at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The Bengals had no prime-time shots last season in their run to the AFC Wild Card, but apparently they go network when they try to break Baltimore's 10-game home winning streak during the regular season.

The Ravens have lost just once in the past two seasons at home during the regular season and that came to the Steelers back on Dec. 5, 2010. They've won 76 percent of their home games since 2001.

The Bengals haven't won in Baltimore since the last-minute fireworks in 2009 courtesy of Carson Palmer's 22-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Andre Caldwell with 20 seconds left, but former Ravens defensive coordinator Marvin Lewis has been more successful than most in his old yard. In his nine seasons as Bengals head coach Cincinnati has won in Baltimore four times and hasn't gone three straight seasons without a win there.

If the report holds up, it will also be five years to the day the Bengals opened the 2007 regular season at PBS on Monday night in which they beat the Ravens, 27-20, on a last-minute goal-line stand.
