Samoan football feature nominated for Emmy

A 60 MINUTES story on Samoan football featuring Bengals Domata Peko, Rey Maualuga and Jonathan Fanene has been nominated for an Emmy, CBS said Tuesday.

"Football Island," produced by CBS Sports' 21-time Emmy Award-winnier Pete Radovich, Jr., was nominated for "Outstanding Feature Story in a News Magazine." It was the first story Radovich produced for 60 MINUTES, according to a CBS news release.

The 31st Annual News and Documentary Emmy Awards are set for Sept. 26.
