Two defensive starters who were limited Wednesday didn't practice Thursday when defensive tackle Domata Peko (neck) and safety Roy Williams (forearm) didn't work, but coordinator Mike Zimmer indicated he thought they were going to be OK. It's apparently the arm Williams fractured last year and missed the last 14 games, but Zimmer said he didn't break it.
For the second day in a row defensive tackle Tank Johnson (foot) and cornerback Johnathan Joseph (foot) didn't practice.
A handful of players that were limited or didn't go Wednesday went full go Thursday: SAM linebacker Rey Maualuga (knee), safety Chinedum Ndukwe (hamstring), running back Cedric Benson (knee), linebacker Abdul Hodge (knee), and cornerback David Jones (foot). It looks like Jones has a chance at being active for the first time this season.

Head coach Marvin Lewis said he got the idea Sunday night as a way to promote the selfless team concept.
?My shoulder pads are a little lighter,? joked safety Chris Crocker before practice. ?I still haven?t got a real reason why we?ve done it. We?ve always been selfless. Not a big deal. All I know is I just defend the guys in white.?
Quarterback Carson Palmer, like Crocker an influential guy in the selflessness that showed up this season, said ?we?re just rolling with it," which is pretty much what they?ve done all year with everything, starting with Palmer?s sprained ankle and continuing with the Spike Strike loss against Denver.
?No, it?s not confusing,? Palmer said. ?I know guys? faces and their body language.?

? The pink cleats came in Thursday for Sunday?s Breast Cancer Awareness game in Cleveland and Chad Ochocinco had it right. The regular cleats have base colors of black and white with strips of pink. The Ocho?s are pretty much solid pink, with strips of black and white that won?t get him fined. A pink chinstrap will get him rung for $10,000, but he hasn?t found it yet and is looking for one on Twitter.
? Safety Chinedum Ndukwe has four career interceptions, three off Browns quarterback Derek Anderson, but he?s got mixed emotions about seeing him out there because it means one of his closest boyhood friends, Brady Quinn, has been benched.
?I?d like to see him do well because he?s my friend, but I can?t let any of that enter into it,? Ndukwe said. ?It?s Anderson and so I?m preparing for that.?
Ndukwe has yet to talk to Quinn this week, ?but I?m sure we will. We?ve played a lot of phone tag,? he said.
? Rookie linebacker Rey Maualuga says he has yet to hear if his brother is OK in America Samoa following Tuesday?s earthquake.
? Cornerback Johnathan Joseph, who has finally got his foot healthy after two years of problems, says he?s just resting after missing practice Wednesday.
