Jordan Salkin is in his first season with the Bengals, after joining the coaching staff as an offensive assistant in 2024. He previously served as an offensive analyst at the University of Oregon in 2023.
In 2023, Salkin helped scheme a Ducks offense that ranked near the top of the NCAA in every major category. The Ducks led the nation in total offensive TDs (82) and passing yards (346.9 per game), ranked second in total yards (531.4 per game), second in scoring (44.2 points per game), and third in third-down percentage (51 percent). QB Bo Nix set single-season program records and led the nation in both passing yards (4508) and TD passes (45), while WRs Tez Johnson and Troy Franklin each ranked in the top 25 in both receptions and receiving yards. Prior to Oregon, Salkin spent the 2022 season as a defensive analyst at the University of North Carolina.
Salkin's first NFL coaching experience came in 2021, when he served as a quality control coach for the Miami Dolphins. Working primarily on the offensive side of the ball, Salkin helped QB Tua Tagovailoa post the second-highest completion percentage in a season in team history (67.8, seventh in NFL), while WR Jaylen Waddle had the most receptions by a rookie in NFL history (104).
Salkin spent the 2020 season as quarterbacks coach at the University of New Mexico. Despite being limited to seven games due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Lobos used four different starting QBs. Salkin helped QB Teveka Tuioti post a 133.5 passer rating in two starts, as he threw for four TDs against just one INT.
Prior to his stint at New Mexico, Salkin spent three seasons (2017-19) at the University of Texas, beginning as a graduate assistant before serving as an offensive quality control coach with a focus on quarterbacks in his final two years. In 2019, he helped QB Sam Ehlinger tie for the Big 12 Conference lead in TD passes (32), rank second in passer rating (151.8), and third and passing yards (3663). In 2018, Ehlinger's 275 completions ranked second in the Big 12 and were the most by a Longhorns QB since '09.
Salkin spent the 2016 season as an offensive quality control coach at Rutgers University, where he worked with the team's quarterbacks. He broke into the coaching ranks as an offensive quality control coach at James Madison University from 2014-15. In 2015, the Dukes ranked 10th in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) in total yards per game (484.6).
Salkin was born on April 29, 1992 in Long Island, N.Y. He graduated from the University of West Virginia with a bachelor's degree in sports management in 2014.
