Bengals HB Joe Mixon was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for Week 4, for his performance in the team's win on Sunday vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Mixon on Sunday posted season-highs in both rushing yards (151) and yards from scrimmage (181), which both also counted as the most by an AFC player so far this season. He also scored a career-high three TDs — a nine-yard reception, and rushes of 34 and 23 yards.
So far this season, Mixon has 77 carries for 315 yards (4.1 average) and two rushing TDs, as well as 13 receptions for 88 yards and a receiving TD. He rushed for 1000 yards in both 2018 and '19, and this year is looking to become just the fourth player in team history to record three consecutive 1000-yard rushing seasons.
This is Mixon's first career AFC Offensive Player of the Week award, and he is the first Bengal this season to win a player of the week or month award.
