The Bengals today made the following roster moves:
*Activated G Xavier Su'a-Filo to the roster from the Reserve/Injured list. Su'a-Filo had been placed on Reserve/Injured on Sept. 15, after suffering an ankle injury in the season-opener vs. the L.A. Chargers. He had returned to practice for the Bengals on Nov. 11, when the team designated him for return from Reserve/Injured.
*Placed WR Auden Tate on the Reserve/Injured list. Tate, a third-year player out of Florida State University, suffered a shoulder injury in Sunday's game against the N.Y. Giants. He had played in nine games (two starts) this season and had 14 catches for 150 yards.
*Cleared CB Darius Phillips to return to practice by designating him for return from the Reserve/Injured list. Phillips had been on the Reserve/Injured list since Nov. 14 with groin injury that he suffered in Game 8 vs. Tennessee. Today starts a 21-day period during which Phillips may practice with the team without counting against the 53-player active roster. He is eligible to be activated to the roster at any time during that period.
*Returned DT Freedom Akinmoladun and WR Stanley Morgan to the practice squad from the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Akinmoladun had been on Reserve/COVID-19 since Nov. 18, while Stanley Morgan had been on since Nov. 20.
*Signed LS Dan Godsil to the practice squad. Godsil, a first-year player out of Indiana University, originally was a college free agent signee of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2019. He later spent parts of the 2019 and '20 offseasons with the Bengals.
