BENGALS OFFERING PLAYOFF TICKETS TO SEASON TICKET MEMBERS;
WITH NEW OPTION TO PAY ONLY WHEN GAMES ARE CONFIRMED
With the Bengals currently in first place in the AFC North Division, the club has been directed by the NFL to begin offering tickets for possible home playoff games to Season Ticket Members.
New for 2014, the Bengals are offering a "Pay as We Play" option, allowing Season Ticket Members to reserve seats through Bengals.com with a debit or credit card. Buyers will be charged for individual games only as they are clinched. Also available is the traditional option to pay in advance for all possible home games, with refunds or account credit available for any payments for games not played.
The deadline for Season Ticket Members to choose either option is Dec. 5.
Teams can host a maximum of two playoff games: 1) A Wild Card or Divisional Round game and 2) the AFC Championship game. Wild Card round games will be played the weekend of Jan. 3-4. Divisional Round games will be the weekend of Jan. 10-11. The AFC Championship Game is set for Jan. 18.
Playoff tickets for a Wild Card or Divisional game will be available in a price range only slightly higher than the $44-$95 single-ticket prices for regular-season games. Wild Card tickets would range from $56-$96, and Divisional tickets $60-$107.
Prices for the AFC Championship game, with the winner advancing to Super Bowl XLIX, will range from $132-$164.
"We're excited to have a team vying for a fourth straight playoff season, and we believe we have great values available," said Andrew Brown, Bengals ticket sales manager. "Though the NFL has the final say on playoff ticket prices, we have worked with the league to help assure that our playoff tickets will be affordable to our fans across all seating areas."
Though Season Ticket Members are afforded the first chance to purchase playoff tickets, plus additional tickets they may desire, tickets will later be available to 2014 Ticket Pack buyers, followed by the general public. It's anticipated that these availabilities will come early next month, and fans desiring the most current information about these opportunities can register their e-mail addresses on Bengals.com for direct notice on dates and procedures.
