While the Bengals are working with a magic number of two for another AFC North title on the field, they're bringing some holiday magic to Greater Cincinnati children off the field. And they didn't rest on their laurels very long following Sunday's 42-28 victory over the Colts.
On Monday night a quartet gathered at Dick's Sporting Goods in Sycamore Plaza to assist an estimated 35 children selected by the Marvin Lewis Community Fund. Carlos Dunlap, BenJarvus Green-Ellis, A.J. Green and Jermaine Gresham each had a group of nine children and helped them shop for winter essentials and Christmas gifts.
After throwing for three touchdown passes (Green and Gresham were two of the targets) and running for another touchdown Sunday, quarterback Andy Dalton hosted the Andy and Jordan Dalton Foundation's Second Annual Holiday Hearts holiday party for patients at Shriners Hospital in downtown Cincinnati on Monday night. Bingo and Christmas tree decorating were some of the activities designed to provide seriously and chronically ill children and their families the chance to receive items they may need for the winter months. Each family received a Walmart gift card and grab bag.
