Labor Day Weekend is upon us and September is here, which means this is the last Sunday without Bengals football!
Just seven days until the return of epic tailgates, shouting WHO DEY across the stadium, rekindling your Bengals' family traditions and singing the Growl Song with 65,000 fellow fans. There is nothing quite like seeing Who Dey Nation together in one place for our first home game of the regular season. And this year, it's going to look extra special in all orange.
We've gotten pretty good at this color coordination thing, Cincinnati, as we've shown the world with our White Bengal games and last year's incredible Stripe The Jungle. This year, to elevate the start of the NFL Regular Season, we're starting a new tradition: #OpenInOrange.
#OpenInOrange is bigger than an Orange Out on Sunday.
In psychology, orange is the color of energy, confidence and optimism. These are traits we want our team and our fans to embody all season long. We know that the NFL is extremely hard. We don't know what our next challenge will be, but we know that unexpected obstacles are inevitable and the road to a championship will be tough. The only way forward is with belief, optimism and resilience.
We want to reflect these values in our community as well. Orange is also the color for hunger relief, and September is Hunger Action Month. To raise awareness and help fight food insecurity in the Tri-State area, we are selling limited-edition 2024 season shirts, with proceeds supporting the Freestore Foodbank of Greater Cincinnati.
We hope fans resonate with the positivity we aim to create through #OpenInOrange and this becomes an annual tradition that grows over time. It can take on a life of its own – and we ask fans to share what you're doing to celebrate and give back by using #OpenInOrange on social media all week long.
Do Good. Play Good.
Our fans will not have to look far for additional inspiration on gamedey. Two-time defending NCAA Championship head coach – and Bengals superfan – Dan Hurley, will be our Ruler of The Jungle next Sunday. As Coach Hurley himself said before UCONN's 2024 championship season, "it's going to take absolutely everything that you have got from absolutely everyone."
Let's go make this a magical season, Who Dey Nation. Don't hold anything back.
Who Dey!
