Like most of their winning drive against Atlanta, the Bengals may be without running back Giovani Bernard (knee) and wide receiver John Ross (groin) when they play the Dolphins on Sunday (1 p.m.-Cincinnati's Channel 12) at Paul Brown Stadium.
Neither practiced Thursday, although both appeared on the side with Bernard on the rehab field and Ross on a stationary bike. Ross apparently had a setback because he was limited Wednesday. Bernard hasn't worked since carrying on the fourth play of last Sunday's winning 16-play drive.
But Joe Mixon looks ready to replace him, even though he has been listed as limited in his first two days of practice since a Sept. 15 arthroscopic knee surgery. Middle linebacker Preston Brown (shoulder) and right guard Alex Redmond (shoulder) were upgraded from limited to full. Meanwhile, pass rusher Carl Lawson (ankle) appeared on Thursday's injury report.
In Miami there is concern that their long-time sack leader, defensive Camron Wake (knee), will not play after missing both practices this week. More question marks up front: defensive and Andre Branch (knee) appeared on the report Thursday as limited.
