Bengals QB Joe Burrow today was named AFC Offensive Player of the Month for November.
Burrow completed 89 of 145 passes for 1035 yards and 12 TDs with one INT in Cincinnati's three games played in November. His 12 TD passes tied for the NFL lead during the month, even with the Bengals having a bye in Week 12, while his 107.7 passer rating ranked sixth leaguewide and his passing yardage total ranked seventh.
Burrow began the month by tying his career high with five TD passes and posting a 115.5 passer rating in the team's home win over Las Vegas on Nov. 3. He threw at least one TD pass to four different receivers, which tied for the most players with a scoring reception in a game in team history.
On Nov. 7 at Baltimore, Burrow recorded season highs in completions (34), passing attempts (56) and passing yards (428), while throwing four TD passes and committing zero turnovers. It marked the eighth time in NFL history that a QB totaled at least 50 passing attempts, 400 passing yards and four TD passes with no INTs. His scoring passes included a 67- and 70-yarder to WR Ja’Marr Chase, which marked the fifth time in team history — and second in Burrow's career — that a QB had multiple TD passes of 65 or more yards in a game.
On Nov. 17 at the L.A. Chargers, Burrow completed 28 of 50 passes for 356 yards and three TDs with zero INTs. Each of his three scoring passes and 245 of his passing yards came in the second half to help Cincinnati tie the game after trailing by 21 points.
With his performances against the Ravens and Chargers, Burrow became the first QB in NFL history to record at least 50 passing attempts, 350 passing yards and three TD passes while throwing zero INTs in consecutive games.
Burrow in November became the first QB in Bengals history to pass for 12 TDs over a span of three games. He also is the first NFL QB to accomplish that feat since Dallas QB Dak Prescott also had 12 TD passes from Weeks 16-18 of the 2021 season.
This is Burrow's first career AFC Offensive Player of the Month award. The last Bengals player to receive a monthly honor was K Evan McPherson, who was named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month in December of 2021.
