Lapham hosts Down Syndrome fundraiser June 17

Long-time Bengals radio analyst Dave Lapham is again the voice of the June 17 celebrity tournament raising funds for the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati at Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio.

Lapham is hosting a full field for a day that begins with a noon shotgun start and ends with a 5:30 p.m. dinner that wraps up the silent auction. Among the celebrities are Lapham's partner in the booth, play-by-play man Dan Hoard, and Bengals linebacker J.K. Schaffer.

Via the company Auctions by Cellular, buyers can put in their bids via smart phone even while they're on the course. Among the items are an autographed football from the Bengals tandem of A.J. Green and Andy Dalton, two Reds diamond seats for the Aug. 21 game against Arizona donated by CBTS, a Lake Cumberland getaway, a round of golf for four at Maketewah including lunch and a half-hour private lesson with head pro Dave Bahr, and a slew of golf equipment.

But golf aficionados can buy a chance now at $50 each for the Masters raffle offering two tickets for the final round next year and a private plane to Augusta, Ga. It is limited to 500 raffle tickets that can be purchased at dsgolftrip.org.
