Preston Brown Back, Rawls out for Falcons

ATLANTA - Running back Thomas Rawls may never play a snap as a Bengal.

He was inactive for the second week in a row and Joe Mixon looked good enough in Sunday's pre-game workout at Mercedes-Benz Stadium to play next week against Miami at Paul Brown Stadium. Mixon (arthroscopic knee surgery) and rookie center Billy Price (foot), targeting the Oct. 14 PBS game against the Steelers, were ruled out Friday.

That leaves the Bengals with two running backs, Giovani Bernard and rookie Mark Walton, against an Atlanta defense that has allowed more than 260 yards rushing combined in the last two weeks.

Defensive tackle Adolphus Washington, just signed a few days ago, was inactive and joined the other usuals. Wide receiver Auden Tate, left tackle Cedric Ogbuehi and tight end Mason Schreck were down.

Middle linebacker Preston Brown played in his first game since injuring his ankle in the opener.
