The Cincinnati Bengals and the Free Store Foodbank
Announce Results of the Meijer Canned Food Drive

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Bengals and the Freestore Foodbank are pleased to announce the results of the 28th annual canned food drive held on Thursday,
November 6 prior to the Cleveland Browns game at Paul Brown Stadium.

Bengals fans donated 6,294 pounds of food and $17,356.03 in cash.

This effort will allow the Freestore Foodbank to provide more than 57,000 meals to help feed children and families in our community during the upcoming holidays. The Bengals sincerely thank all fans for their generosity in supporting this annual event.

The Bengals appreciate the help of U-Haul of Southwest Ohio for providing the pods around the stadium used to collect the canned goods.

The Bengals also wish to thank our community partner, Meijer, for donating an additional $10,000 to the Freestore Foodbank to support this event, providing 30,000 more meals.

"Meijer was built on a fundamental philosophy of supporting the communities where our customers and team members work and live," Co-Chairman Doug Meijer said. "We were pleased to be a partner in this effort because hunger is a problem that continues to increase in all of our communities, and no one deserves to go without."
