A "savvy" TE that Bengals coaches and scouts identified during draft process, McLachlan was picked by Cincinnati in sixth round in April's draft ... Spent final two college seasons (2022-23) at Arizona, after beginning career at Southern Utah ... In 25 games at Arizona, caught 79 passes for 984 yards and six TDs, and earned second-team All-Pac-12 Conference honors in 2023 ... Holds Arizona record for career receptions by a TE, while receiving yardage ranks second most ... A native of Lethbridge, Alberta (Canada), he is one of two Canadians on Bengals roster entering training camp, with HB Chase Brown.
