1. Amarius Mims is getting raves for more than his sheer enormity. "He's not making the same mistake twice," said Dan Pitcher. "He's really coachable, has a great way about him, and has a good blend of self-confidence and humility."
2. When the QB drills begin, Logan Wilson makes a point to catch passes. His 11 INTs lead all LBs since he entered the NFL. "It's a good time to work on my ball skills," he said. "You only get so many opportunities to catch them, so you've got to make sure you take advantage."
3. Rookie Josh "Fig" Newton was terrific in 1-on-1 coverage drills, although he missed an easy INT here. "I love Josh Newton's competitive spirit, his tenacity, and his willingness to learn and grow," said cornerbacks coach Chuck Burks "I'm extremely impressed with him."
4. On the first play of the 11-on-11 period, Joe Burrow lofted a 65-yard TD pass to Tee Higgins. It was one of several catches for Tee who had his best day of camp so far. "I just had to get my legs back," Tee said. "I missed OTAs, so I'm finally getting back into the groove."
5. Burrow wasn't happy with the first half of practice, but the offense finished strong, including this third-and-goal TD pass to Andrei Iosivas. "Andrei is going to have a big year," Burrow said. "I'm really excited about how he's coming along."
