1. Right tackle Trent Brown was cleared to practice today but spent one more day on the rehab field (tossing a 50-pound bag among other things). Look for him to be in uniform and taking part in football activities tomorrow.

2. I'm looking forward to seeing Myles Murphy in preseason games when he's allowed to hit the QB and tackle people. "I think he picks something each day to get better at," said Lou Anarumo. "You can see progress, and it has to continue for him to get to where he wants to be."

3. The offense opened the 11-on-11 period with a long drive, ending with a Burrow to Trenton Irwin TD. But the defense did not allow another TD the rest of the day. "You can see a consistency starting to form where the highs and lows aren't as big as last year," said Anarumo.

4. Rookie safety Daijahn Anthony picked off Jake Browning for his third INT of camp. He's getting snaps with the 1st team in dime packages. "He's a really competitive kid and wants to be coached hard," said safeties coach Jordan Kovacs. "That's a really good combination to have."

5. Under the new kickoff rule, touchbacks come out to the 30 yard line, so Evan McPherson is trying to place kicks between the five yard line and goal line. This one landed right at the five. "Placement is going to be a key priority," Evan said.
