First week of camp sked

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis released his schedule for the first week of training camp Thursday and there is no missing the impact of the new collective bargaining agreement and lack of spring football as Lewis has left himself flexibility before he gets a good look at his team.

There are no two-a-day practices and one session is open each day to the public. Adhering to the new rule that says players must get an off day every seven days, the complex is closed Wednesday Aug. 3 and Sunday Aug. 7. There is no indication if the intrasquad scrimmage is still on for Friday night, Aug. 5, and the Mock Game for Saturday afternoon, Aug. 6. But Lewis is using the same time frames for practices those days, 7 p.m. and noon, respectively.

The first practice is Saturday, July 30 at 3 p.m., followed by Sunday at 3:40 p.m., Monday at 9 a.m., and Tuesday and Thursday at 7 p.m.
