1. Free agent DT Sheldon Rankins has a powerful lower body that's almost Geno Atkins-like. "He's a pro," said B.J Hill. "I love being out there with him because of the way he communicates and the way we talk about ball."

2. Running back Zack Moss doesn't mess around when he gets the football. Whether it's a run or catch, he's looking to square his shoulders and sprint upfield. "I really like Zack Moss," said Zac Taylor. "Professional. Detailed. I really am a fan."

3. Cam Taylor-Britt, who had a tonsillectomy just before camp, was a limited participant today but expects to be full-go tomorrow when the team is in full pads. "You know I want to be out there just as bad as anybody else," Cam said. "I got my mental reps in and I'm ready to go."

4. Mike Gesicki is a red zone weapon. He's caught 21 NFL touchdown passes (including playoffs) and 19 have been in the red zone. "He can move," said Mike Hilton. "He moves a lot better than a typical 6'4 or 6'5 tight end and his catch radius is crazy. He makes it difficult."

5. Coach Taylor says communication on defense has been sharp, thanks to safeties Geno Stone and Vonn Bell. "That's not a knock on anybody," Zac said. "When you add two veteran safeties that have played a ton of NFL football on the back end, that's what shifts everything forward."
